The Carl Junction Bulldogs Boys Soccer Team finished their season November 1st with a record of 16-11-1 and for the first time in thirteen years they won the district title. Districts started with Carl Junction being the first seed, facing the fourth seed McDonald County and number two Neosho playing the third seed Webb City. Carl Junction beat McDonald County with a score of 6-0 with goals from Keagan Peters (senior), Connor Niemeyer (senior), Adam Evans (senior), Camryn Simon (freshman), and goalkeeper Sam Repsher (junior).  As for Webb City and Neosho, it was a close game with a final score of 2-1 in Neosho’s favor. The rematch was set for Carl and Neosho. With two previous game between the two teams, both in CJ’s favor, Neosho was thirsty for not only the win, but also for the district title.  For the first seventeen minutes it was a stalemate until Connor Niemeyer headed the ball in off of a pass from junior Aaron Skiles for the first goal of the night. It then remained scoreless until seven minutes into the second half when Neosho received a penalty kick for being fouled in the box. The game then remained tied until ten minutes later when Keagan Peters scored off a pass from Niemeyer. Until the end of the game, it remained a tough hard fought game from both sides but in the end Carl’s work payed off and they came out District Champions.
